Decenas de miles de jovenes peregrinos provenientes de toda Italia se encontraran en Roma el 11 y 12 de agosto en la culminacion de una gran peregrinacion organizada por la Conferencia Episcopal Italiana bajo el lema "Por mil caminos, hacia Roma".

VATICANO (ACI Prensa) - En la iniciativa se han implicado casi 200 diocesis italianas y las rutas de peregrinacion tendran su origen en cada una de ellas, por lo que se creara una red de caminos que convergeran en la Plaza de San Pedro del Vaticano.
Segun la Conferencia Episcopal Italiana, se espera la participacion de al menos 50 mil jovenes que recorreran la ruta andando. Junto a los jovenes, participaran en el encuentro en Roma mas de 100 Obispos.
El sabado 11 de agosto por la tarde, el Papa Francisco se encontrara con los jovenes en el Circo Maximo, mientras que el domingo 12 de agosto el Presidente de la Conferencia Episcopal Italiana, Cardenal Gualtiero Bassetti, presidira la celebracion de la Santa Misa.
Antes de finalizar el encuentro, el Santo Padre volvera a dirigirse a los peregrinos para presidir el envio misionero y bendecir la Cruz de San Damian y la imagen de la Virgen de Loreto que llevaran a la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud en enero de 2019 en Panama.
Tras el rezo del angelus y la bendicion papal, los grupos de peregrinos regresaran a sus diocesis.
