Quiz question: which A-List global icon has two movies coming out in May?

Tom Cruise? Nope

Duane "The Rock" Johnson?  Nope.

Mark Wahlberg? Robert Downey, Jr? Oprah?  Nope. Nope. Nope.

You'll never guess, so I'll just tell you.  It's the Pope.

Wait, the Pope!? As in, Pope Francis?

The 266th man to hold the Papal reigns is starring in not one, but TWO movies coming out this May.  Holy moly!

The first film, BEYOND THE SUN, releases on May 15th.  Distributed by AMBI Distribution, and produced by Lady Monika Bacardi and Andrea Iervolino, the movie is a heartwarming family adventure story of a group of young children that embark on a journey to discover God. Their wanderings bring them into the presence of His Holiness himself.  Watch the trailer for BEYOND THE SUN here:

Then on May 18th, the good Pontiff stars in his second film, POPE FRANCIS, A MAN OF HIS WORD  Distributed by Focus Features and directed by Wim Wenders, the documentary is an intimate look at the life and ministry of Pope Francis and his answers to today's global questions from death, social justice, immigration, ecology, wealth inequality, materialism, and the role of the family.  See the trailer:

If these two films do well, who knows what could be next for Pope Francis?  Maybe a possible cameo when the Pope-Mobile gets stolen in the next installment of THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS!
