We find ourselves in a time of danger. Between terrorism and war, we must face fear of danger with the armor of faith. We come to the Lord in prayer, asking for protection and peace in time of peril.

Prayer in Time of Danger at the Hands of Others

Heavenly Father,
Forgive those who trespass against me
For they know not what they do.

Protect us from evil
And shield us from harm.

You are my armor, my protection, and my sword.

Preserve us in our hour of need,
In Jesus' name.

O God, Who knowest us to be set in the midst of such great perils, that, by reason of the weakness of our nature, we cannot stand upright, grant us such health of mind and body, that those evils which we suffer for our sins we may overcome through Thine assistance. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, protect the innocent who rely on thy mercy

We, the innocent, imperiled by war, cry to you for protection in our hour of need.

Protect us!
Spare the babe in the womb, the baby at the breast.
Save the child in tears, the teenager cold, hungry and alone
Shield the young men and women who face the fires of the enemy
Defend the mothers and fathers who watch at the window
Keep the grandparents whose legacy we carry

You are our rock, our fortress, our defender!
You are our strength, and we place our faith in you.
Keep us safe from evil.

We ask your mercy, through Christ, Our Lord.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,

who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
