LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The church, sometimes called "the actors' church" due to its historic relationship with London's Theatreland, now features three carved angels resting above the tabernacle.
Parish administrator Alex Dimminger stated: "The way the sanctuary opens up into the heavens reminds us that we do not come to God alone.
"When we approach the altar, we join ourselves to countless angels, saints, thrones and dominions who praise and glorify God on high."
Renovations began at the encouragement of Cardinal Vincent Nichols and will continue to undergo renovations to include the nave, floors, and pews.
The heating and lighting systems will be updated as well and the parish announced it is accepting donations to help.

Part of the reason the church is undergoing renovations is to help it stand out as a site of Eucharistic devotion.
In fact, the first Thursday of each month will include a Mass celebrated with a choir and different guest preachers who speak specifically on the Blessed Sacrament.
