LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - In an attempt to endorse Donald Trump and to reveal the evils behind Clinton's pro-choice campaign, Father Frank Pavone used an aborted baby to shock viewers.
Father Pavone, the national director of Priests for Life and to drive his point home, he released a video to Facebook.
According to the Catholic Herald, Fr. Pavone placed an aborted child on an altar.
A second video featured a dead baby on YouTube.
In the shocking Facebook video, he wrote: "Today I am showing you a child who was killed by abortion and entrusted to us by a pathologist for burial.
"We have had a funeral for this baby, who rests in a Memorial Chapel, but today I am showing him to you because in this election we have to decide if we will allow this child killing to continue in America or not.
"Hillary Clinton and the Democratic platform says yes, let the child-killing continue (and you pay for it); Donald Trump and the Republican platform says no, the child should be protected."
Many have criticized Fr. Pavone for the controversial and sickening display while others stand by his conviction and believe the message doesn't hit home without the gruesome visualization.
Ed Mechmann, the director of public policy for the Archdiocese of New York, called Fr. Pavone: "Absolutely appalling, and [he] deserves to be repudiated by all of us who consider ourselves to be pro-life in the fullest meaning of that word."
According to CNA, Fr. Thomas Petri, the vice-president of the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. stated: "The issue here is the dignity of the child that was used, and violating the dignity of his or her body on an altar of God - which is supposed to be used for divine worship. It really is a profane violation."
In an email Fr. Pavone sent to Renew America, he wrote: "The issue is not how I'm treating a baby. (I've been providing funerals and burials for these children for decades, with full legal and canonical counsel, and those concerned about these things would do well to talk to me rather than the media.)
"The issue is how the abortionists, supported by the Democrats, are treating these babies. What's sacrilegious is abortion, and voting for those who support it. It's time we get our heads screwed on straight about who the bad guys are.
"We are living in the midst of a holocaust, and our nation faces a choice on November 8 between electing people, like Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party, who will continue that holocaust and have us pay for it, and Donald Trump and the Republican Party, who are committed to working to bring it to an end. This choice is neither confusing nor difficult.
"Countless people, clergy and laity alike, in all denominations, are raising their voices as never before, to warn our nation of the consequences of continuing to allow the Democrats to control this country, hide the atrocity of abortion even while getting the rest of us to pay for it, make excuses for the illegal and corrupt activities of Planned Parenthood, and trying to squelch the very freedom of the church to talk about these things.
"Donald Trump is ready to defend the unborn and to defend the church. That's why I'm with him - and all believers should be also. And as he is attacked, so are those who stand with him. So be it."
