LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - What is the most popular book of the Bible? If you answered, "Psalms," you're correct. Psalms is the most popular book by far, receiving more mentions and quotes on social media and across the web than any other book. For many people, Psalms is the first place they look for inspiration.

According to studies, the most popular Psalm is the 23rd, likely because it is often quoted, especially as part of burial services. Still, there's something for everybody in the Psalms. And Fuller Theological Seminary wants even more people to know it.

The seminary, which is evangelical, and is one of the largest and most influential in the United States, has enlisted Bono (of U2 fame) and Eugene Peterson (clergyman and author) to spread the word about the Psalms.

The two men recorded a short discussion about the Psalms, which are part of a new 20-minute documentary from the seminary.

Bono said he likes the Psalms because they are "brutally honest," an astute assessment.

"The psalmist is brutally honest about the explosive joy that he's feeling, and the deep sorrow or confusion, and it's that that sets the Psalms apart for me," he said. "And I often think, 'Gosh, why isn't church music more like that?'"

Bono has quoted from several Psalms in his work.
