LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - On Sunday, in Memphis, Tenn., two vehicles were involved in a collision leading one to spin out of control, crash and burst into flames.
The driver was successfully removed from their vehicle with help from passers-by, but their 2014 Jeep Laredo literally exploded, leaving everything in ruins - except an entirely undamaged Bible.
Witness Eugene McNiel saw a car clip the Jeep, which spun out of control."I jumped out of my truck -- that's the fastest I've ever ran," McNiel told FOX 13. "I didn't care. I wanted to save that man's life because I don't want to see (anybody) get burned up in (a) car."
After both parties involved in the accident were taken to the hospital and the fire was doused, police made a discovery that left them speechless. As first responders removed debris from the vehicle, it was determined that everything had been destroyed - with the exception of the Holy Bible, which sat in the front passenger seat.
"That is God," McNiel said. "You don't believe me? (Then) I don't know what to say."
In another miracle, the Memphis Police Department said everyone involved in the accident had non-critical injuries and would be just fine.
