Christian pastor claims to visit Heaven after near-death car crash
FREE Catholic Classes
A Christian pastor claims he visited Heaven and saw the afterlife when he passed away for a short period after a deadly car crash. His story was made into a film that will be shown in 800 theaters across the United States on September 11 this year. Feature films depicting the growing phenomenon of "heavenly tourism" after near-death experiences were massive in the previous years, whether true to life or entirely fictional.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Through the upcoming movie, "90 Minutes in Heaven," Pastor Don Piper recalls and shares his story of afterlife and near death after a terrible car accident on January 18, 1989 while on his way to the church to lead a Bible study.
His story was first told in a New York Times bestselling book, "90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death and Life," where he explained that Heaven is difficult to describe using our earthly terms.
The pastor wrote, "Heaven's light and texture defy earthly eyes or explanation. Warm, radiant light engulfed me. As I looked around, I could hardly grasp the vivid, dazzling colors. Every hue and tone surpassed anything I had ever seen."
The film will also feature another pastor who passed by the accident scene, as the lifeless body of Pastor Piper was already covered in tarp, lying on the pavement. The pastor went on to pray over him for a duration of time, until he saw and heard the supposedly dead pastor coming back to life.
According to an earlier report by The Blaze, Pastor Piper claims to have really died from the accident, seeing how Heaven looks, but he was able to come back to Earth as the other pastor prayed for him. He then spent 13 months in pain at the hospital, undergoing 34 surgeries.
