The most intriguing detail is that this new show will delve into the personal lives of the characters, which viewers were only given glimpses of in previous revivals and the show itself.

"The Muppets return to prime time with a contemporary, documentary-style show that-for the first time ever-will explore the Muppets' personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires; a more adult Muppet show, for kids of all ages," according to the new official logline of the ABC Channel.

The show will be shot similar to the style used in shows like Arrested Development and The Office.

The pilot presentation was described as having the 30 Rock feel, as presented by Bill Prady, one of the creators of the Big bang Theory, and Bob Kushell, the writer and producer of the Anger Management, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The show's fans expressed their excitement, as they had quickly speculated the on-and-off romance of Kermit and Miss Piggy could be a storyline center for the new revival. Yet, the The Muppets' producers are planning to dig deeper, just like how the hit TV series of ABC like Grey's Anatomy and Scandal were made.

With plans of going far, the fans and other spectators are awaiting the more mature versions of the iconic characters, anticipating how deep and personal we will all be allowed to witness.
