The teachers refused to comply with the order; parents filed a lawsuit in federal court accusing the school board of violating the separation of church and state. Suddenly, Dover was torn apart by controversy, pitting neighbor against neighbor. The "Nova" series interviews the townspeople, scientists and lawyers who participated in the six-week trial (TV-PG -- parental guidance suggested).
Tuesday, Nov. 13, 10-11 p.m. EST (PBS) "Miss Navajo."
