LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - As a part of Watters' World and The O'Reilly Factor, Watters asks people questions about what America has done for them, and if they owe the country anything.
Some of the individuals were patriotic, while others were the farthest from.
"I think it's awful," explained one participant who also largely disagrees with America and its Constitution.
Make the world a better place this Lent!
"The values that our founding fathers instilled into this country," is why one man stands up for America and believes the country is exceptional. While another openly admits he is not proud to be an American.
When asked if they owe America anything, the majority of participants stated no and were negative toward the country. Although the discussion of food stamps and student loans, both government-funded, came into play.
It's easy to see this video is humorous, however, it realistically depicts the way some Americans feel about the country we live in. It becomes apparent that we are living in a time where a lot of people can no longer say they are proud to be an American.
Are you proud to be an American?
