LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The property has been owned by the same family for the last 90 years, and has been described by real estate agents Suzanne Perkins and Harry Kolb of Sotheby's International Realty as "one of a kind".
You can be a light in the darkness with "prayer and action."
The property includes the expansive main manor-with 12 bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and three half baths-10 cottages, an English-style pub, a barn and stable, an outdoor stable and a covered arena for horse riding.
The land was purchased by rancher and property investor Charles H. Jackson, Jr. and his wife, Ann, in the late 1920s, who then built the main house. It has since been expanded into a 30,000 square-foot mansion.
The Jackson family took over the estate following the couple's death, and the house was not used for full-time residence after 1990. The family decided to sell the mammoth estate after it became too difficult for the spread out family to maintain.
There are 10 separate cottages-which were used to house staff and guests-around the estate, which also features 100 acres of citrus and avocado orchards.
There is also a secret tower office that can only be accessed by an exterior staircase attached to the master bedroom.
"It's almost like a small city," said Kolb.
