Knights of Columbus member stirs chowder pot – Ronald Doda, a member of the Knights of Columbus from SS. Philip and James Church in St. James, N.Y., stirs a pot of clam chowder during an Ash Wednesday charity soup supper in the parish auditorium March 1. The Knights of Columbus set new records for charitable giving and volunteer service hours in 2005, fueled in part by the massive response to the hurricanes that struck the southern United States.
