St. Rumon
St. Rumon, also known as Ruan, Ronan, and Ruadan, was probably a brother of Bishop St. Tudwal of Trequier, but nothing else is known of him beyond that he was probably an Irish missionary and many churches in Devon and Cornwall in England were named after him. Some authorities believed he is the same as the St. Ronan (June 1) venerated in Brittany and believed consecrated bishop by St. Patrick, but others believe that he and St. Kea were British monks who founded a monastery at Street Somerset. Feast day is August 30.

St. Rumon, please pray for me to lead a life, that is pleasing to God.
Just because WE do not know much about him does not alter the fact that other people do and other people did. Why else would there be so many churches bearing his name?
Example: I had lunch with 2 amazing saints today. You might not ever meet them. But they bless all whom they meet. They lifted us in Mass this morning such as none of us had ever experienced before.
I used to have a copy of the Lives of the Saint's where there was a short piece about the Saints attached to each day. I think it enriches us to leave the modern world for a few miutes and contemplate on Saintly Lives and pray to the Lord for grace to try and follow their like.
St. Rumon, happy feast day! Pray for all travellers, that they may have a safe and pleasant journey, and enjoy it rather than complain about the length of the flight. God be praised for the happiness I truly felt in the company of family during these summer holidays.
And, yes I believe the image on this saint's page is that of Jesus with the children He loves, who He presents to us an example of innocence and humility. Thank you for the work you do on Saints and Angels.
Your illustration for St. Rumon is, I believe, that of Jesus. The halo has three rays of light emanating from the head. This type of halo is reserved for any of the three Persons of the Trinity.
I do appreciate your attempt of providing an illustration for the various saints. Your link to Wikipedia is a help too. Thank you.
Many saints were knownm around the time they were referred to as saints. HOwever, over time these were not written down. And unless they were a marytr (They are recorded in the Roman Martyroligy book) The facts are lost. But, the truth in them is real!!
I second Mary's question.
I don't get it. If not much is known about a Saint, then how could he be made a Saint? Where are the records of his life?
