St. Venantius
Patron of Camerino
Died: 250
St. Venantius Martyr May 18 A.D. 250 He made a glorious confession of his faith, and after suffering many torments was beheaded in the persecution of Decius in 250, at Camerino, a city near the Marquisate of Ancona in Italy; of which place he was a native. His body is kept with singular veneration in that city. Pope Clement X., who had been bishop of Camerino, had a particular devotion to this martyr, who suffered very young. See the Bollandists.

It's an opportunity for me to answer such a name like this, St Venantius pray for me.
Many many years ago when I was making my First Holy Communion the local Parish Priest was unable to locate my baptismal Certificate so he decided to give me a conditional baptism.
In doing so he felt that I should carry a Saint's name and gave me the name Venantius.
I've always want to find out as much as possible about my patron saint.
Kind Regards
Vernon Venantius Yen
I am pleasantly blessed to share a name with the heroic man who stood up to challenges without flinching. Are we tortured by lack of money? Unemployment? Too many dependents? Anything? We are called to look to God, the author of life and every good thing. In God, we get all we need. Saint Venantius, pray for us!
My birthday is on the feast of St. Venantius. I am very grateful to be born on the feast of such a great martyr, who died aged 17. He is fantastic for answering my prayers. Venantius has given me so much help over the years. Thank you, dear saint!
Prayer:
St. Venantius, whom reflected the love of suffering marks; the most perfect degree in the love of our God. Our Lord himself was consumed with the desire to suffer, because he burnt with the love of God. Pray for us to begin with patience and detachment. So we may at last shall learn to love the sufferings which conform us to the Passion of our Redeemer. Amen
