St. Brogan 7th. century. Abbot of Ross Tuirc, Ossory, Ireland, he is called the author of a hymn to St. Brigid. Feast day September 17. Others of the name (Broccan, Bracan, Brogan) and of the sixtgh or seventh century are venerated on Jan. 1. Apr. 9, June 27, July 8 and Aug. 25.
