Bishop of Vannes, in Brittany, sometimes called Meriadoc. A native of Brittany, he was ordained but then embraced the life of a hermit. Owing to his popularity and the fame of his holiness, he was elected bishop of Vannes, probably against his will because it forced him to give up his hermitage. As bishop, he was most conspicuous in his labors on behalf of the poor. He shares his feast day with Meriadoc.
