We are drawn to the Saints for many reasons, the underlying of which is Love infused by the Holy Spirit. And as we meditate upon the special love manifested in St. Peter for Our Savior, all falls silent as we contemplate his having baptized these Martyrs into the Faith--for the sake of Our Savior. What work that must have been--only possible thru Him.
It is one of an infinite number of Miracles which Jesus works thru His Saints and Martyrs---beginning in Scripture, especially in the Acts of the Apostles,and---never ending in the present to Eternity.
And so if God,in His unfathomable Mercy, converts the persecuting Romans,to the point of Martyrdom, the question is,what does He continuously do for us,in His Merciful Love?
