St. Adam

Feastday: May 16
Died: 1210

Hermit and abbot, a native of Fermo, Italy, where he began a severe life of recollection in a cave on the slopes of Mount Vissiano. Attracting many followers, Adam was invited to join the Benedictine Order and entered San Sabine Monastery. Within the monastery he maintained his prayer life and rigorous self-discipline. I'd like to make a suggestion : This saint is named Adam. My suggestion is that you add onto the list of these holy personages Adam and Eve ! The Church at least accepts them as being on the liste of those who are in Heaven and therefore are holy. They bear witness to the univesal plan of God's salvation.
