Mary Theresa Scherer (October 31, 1825 - June 16, 1888) March 1845 she entered the newly founded Institute. She was the founder of the Congregation of the Holy. Cross in Ingenbohl. She died in holiness. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II, October 29, 1995.
