St. Waldetrudis
Died: 688
Also known as Waltrude or Waudru, she was the daughter of Saints Walbert and Bertilia and sister of St. Aldegunus of Maubeuge. Marrying St. Vincent Madelgarius, she became the mother of saints Landericus, Madalberta, Adeltrudis, and Dentelin. When her husband chose to become a monk about 643 in the monastery of Hautrnont, France, he had founded, she established a convent at Chateaulieu, around which grew up the town of Mons, Belgium.

Mike,
I do believe reading about several married couples who at some point, chose celibacy and set out to found convents and monastaries.
I wish that I could name the saints...I do remember that in one such situation, the wife brought her biological daughters to assist in formation of a convent. Her husband brought their sons to found a monastery.
Pretty sure that I read this here! Stay tuned in daily and you may be able to eventually find these married saints.
can someone get back to me on this? do you mean that marriages can be dissolved upon mutual consent - or does a bishop have to approve it? or did they remain married after starting separate monasteries? There are not many - I thought there were NONE - married saints where BOTH were saints. mmiller@catholic.org
Thank you great saint
Amen
Dear Saint,
Kindly pray for the catholic families around the world that they follow the faith to create saints in the Church. Enlighten the parents to the call of Christ so that they send their children to seminaries and convents rather than making them to love and die in the vanities of this world. Help them to give their children the everlasting treasure of the eternal life in the Kingdom of our God, the Father. Amen.
St. Waldetrudis, please pray for us sinners, who are upset and angry at the least provocation. Grant me the grace to control my temper, and hold my tongue while being provoked to squabble and argue. Thank you.
St.Waldetrudis please pray for me and my family friends i pray in faith
God Bless us all i ask for your help in my work
Amen
Dear St. Waldetrudis, You were so holy to be born into a family of saints, and fulfilled your life by by begetting children, who all became saints. Please pray for us.
St. Waudru, pray for the present day church so that many in one family will aspire to live like your parents, siblings, husband and children. It seems so impossible, I know, at least from my experience, for many reasons. Help us dear saint to find solace and comfort in you. Guide us by your prayers and intercession. Pray that siblings do not cheat each other, especially in the desire for material gain at the death of their parents. Pray for us mere mortals to keep our goals and sights set on our beloved Jesus and His Mother, that nothing will divert us from reaching sanctity, for that's why God made us. In the Last Supper, Christ's washing of the feet of his apostles taught us a lasting lesson in service and humilty. Dear St. Waudru of Mons help us in our pilgrimage to our heavenly home. Amen.
**According to gerald Autor's comment, When you pray and ask for intercession from one relative, the whole family prays for you... Is this true? If yes, Thanks Gerald for the information!
Very inspiring to know a family of saints! -where the parents, children, husband and wife and even grand children are saints! God is great indeed! You ask for intercession from one and a whole family prays for you!
