Martyr in Palestine, with St. Aponius. The two were caught up in a persecution started instigated by King Herod Antipas against the Nazarene community of Jerusalem. St. James the Greater, or Elder, was also beheaded in this persecution.

I need some help! I have a friend whose child's patron saint is Andrew - but there are so many Andrews. I was told that this Andrew is the patron saint of fishermen. Does that help identify him. I want to get some specifics on his particular saint so I can talk to him about his saint. Thanks for your help. This site looks great!
