Jesus, friend of children,
during your life on earth,
you called them tenderly to yourself.
We now bring you this little child
whom we desire to dedicate to your Precious Blood.
We ask you to cover N. with your blessings
and with the merits of your Blood
so that he/she may persevere in the grace
of his/her baptism which makes him/her a child of God.
O crucified Jesus,
grant N. a haven in your holy wounds.
Conceal him/her in the opening in your Sacred heart.
May he/she never have the unhappiness of displeasing you.
We dedicate to you, Jesus,
and to your divine Blood this child
that he/she may remain faithful to your Holy Spirit
who lives in him/her and
desires to lead him/her to holiness of life.
Through your hands, O Immaculate Virgin Mary,
we offer N. to your Son Jesus.
We ask you, holy Mother,
to surround this child with the love of your motherly heart.
We ask you, Jesus,
to bless this child that in this life
he/she may be the joy of his/her parents,
and in heaven know the joy of the blessed
who sing forever the mercy of your Redeeming Blood.
God of power and mercy, open our hearts in welcome. Remove the things that hinder us from receiving Christ with joy, so that we may share his wisdom and become one with him when he comes in glory, for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. In the centuries old Catholic tradition, holy cards or prayer cards are small, devotional cards for the use of the faithful. Prayer cards have an endless amount of use and make wonderful gifts and keepsakes.
The UN has cut off food aid for an estimated 200,000 Christians in the Middle East. The only way these people will survive is through your generosity.
If you make a single donation now, you will feed a child 30 meals. Naturally, the more you give, the more people you help and save. As Christians we are called to be "Good Samaritans" to our neighbors. Right now, Christian children are fighting cold, fighting hunger, and fighting just to survive.
Knowing this, how can you pass by? Give generously.
