St. Romana
Died: 324
Roman virgin. Almost certainly a legendary figure, she supposedly lived as a hermitess in a cave on the banks of the river Tiber in Rome. She figures in the doubtful life of Pope St. Sylvester.

The name Romana is as unique as our mother who was named after this saint. Not many people know of this saint, and I for one am thrilled to connect with her in our mother's honor. To us our mother is a saint as well and I pray that Saint Romana is embracing our Romana in heaven each day. Our Mother Romana did every saint in heaven proud by the way she lived her life here on earth. She is worthy of the saints' admiration. Our Romana. like the saint honored God every day, with every action, with her heart and soul. She did everything on earth with her loved ones for the "Honor and Glory od God"
We miss our Romana, but it is comforting to know she is with God and all of His Saints. In my heart there is a St. Romana Jr. in heaven waiting for us....Saint Romana and mamma Romana pray for all of us....
Romana is my beloved mothers name. She was born in Italy and sadly just recently passed away on Nov.9th2010..My daughter who is the only female out of 9 grandchildren will take Romana as her confirmation name this month to honor her..Growing up I never knew of the saint who shares her name so it was very nice to find this..Mamma rest in peace..Saint Romana, pray for us..
