The Five Loaves ministry responds to the challenge of new evangelization with an innovative portfolio of web-based, multi-media resources - showcased at LA Religious Education Congress.
WEST LINN, OR (February 21, 2013) – The Five Loaves, the collaborative ministry founded by Tom and Kimi Tomaszek, announces Between Sundays™, a video-based approach that enables people of faith to reflect on their experiences of God in everyday life.
The Five Loaves ministry is celebrating its first year of providing methods, online resources and event opportunities for spiritual growth and renewal. As part of its anniversary celebration, The Five Loaves will be attending the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, Feb. 22-24, 2013, in Anaheim, showcasing resources for both parishes and individuals; ranging from Between Sundays In Site - video content for parish websites, to Between Sundays In Season- videos and practical tools for faith-sharing groups to Between Sundays In Touch, - video and reflection materials for individuals.
“One year ago, The Five Loaves was a vision being born; our commitment as a married couple, in ministry together, to feed the spiritually hungry multitudes in new ways,” observes Tom Tomaszek, Pastoral Director. “Today, The Five Loaves has grown into a vibrant ministry with an innovative approach to faith formation and evangelization. With the Internet now commonplace in every aspect of our lives and with the widespread use of social media in our everyday communications, Kimi and I felt called to leverage these technologies as effective elements in the efforts of individuals to grow in faith and the mission of parishes to share the good news.”
As part of their continued growth, The Five Loaves will be offering parish experiences of the unique Between Sundays method that demonstrate how to build a new approach to evangelization and outreach. The couple is also available to lead events on a variety of other timely subjects, as well as the first of a series of travel experiences, In the Spirit of St. Francis, a Pilgrimage to Assisi. “Our mission,” Tom notes, “is to host online and in-person experiences where people’s stories of grace and blessing, their gifts and talents, can be spiritual food for others.”
The Five Loaves can be found at exhibit booth #108. For more information on this ministry and its resources, visit www.thefiveloaves.com.
