WATERTOWN, MA (May 28, 2012) -The CatholicTV® Network to air Coverage of the Seventh World Meeting of Families

Starting Wednesday, May 30, 2012 to Sunday June 3, 2012, Milan will welcome Catholic families from around the globe to celebrate together the vocation to family life and its specific role within the life of the universal Church.

Bishop Jean Laffitte, secretary of the Pontifical Council for the Family, told Catholic News Service that at a time when the institution of the family is under threat and many are still struggling with a worldwide economic crisis and a lack of cultural and societal support, the pope's three-day visit is an extraordinary sign of how much he wants to reaffirm the importance of families built on Christian values.

Bishop Laffitte said, "It's as if the pope wants to say that he is giving the maximum importance to what families live out and that he wants to be near them."

From Friday, June 1, 2012 to Sunday, June 3, 2012, the CatholicTV Network will air coverage of the Seventh World Meeting of Families. Events will take place in various locations in the city of Milan and in Lombardy. A large number of events will take place throughout the region while the International Theological Pastoral Congress, the International Family Fair and the events with Pope Benedict XVI will be concentrated in Fieramilanocity and Milano Parco Nord - Aeroporto di Bresso.
