Tim Watkins to Head the Baltimore Chapter of Organization Created for Top Catholic Business Leaders
Hunt Valley, MD (March 15, 2012) - Renegade Communications, a 360° marketing communications company, today announced that president and CEO Tim Watkins was named president of the Baltimore chapter of Legatus, an organization for Catholic business leaders and their spouses. Watkins assumed the role in January 2012 and will take on the responsibilities of guiding Baltimore area business leaders in spreading the Catholic faith through their professional and personal lives.
Legatus is an organization designed exclusively for executive level Catholic business leaders and their spouses. Bringing together three key areas of a Catholic business leader’s life - faith, family and business - Legatus helps its members meet the challenges of balancing those responsibilities in a unique format that encourages spiritual growth, formation and commitment. Legatus members are encouraged to spread the Catholic faith through good works, good ideas and high ethical standards in their business, professional and personal lives. Watkins will serve a twelve month term as the president of the Legatus Baltimore Chapter, which was formed in 2005.
Leader of a successful company, active member of his church and proud family man, Tim Watkins fully embraces the mission of Legatus. With a background in finance and accounting, and a wealth of business experience to draw upon, Watkins joined Renegade in 1991 and has since turned what was once a small production firm into a multi-faceted strategic advertising and marketing communications agency.
“I’m very honored that Legatus Baltimore has looked to me to lead their chapter in 2012,” said Timothy Watkins, president and CEO of Renegade Communications. “It is exciting to be a part of an organization that works so hard to encourage corporate leaders in the community to share the Catholic faith in their businesses and everyday lives.”
Watkins is also completing a documentary film The Blood and The Rose which was shot on location in Spain and Mexico City over the course of four years. The Blood and The Rose tells the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe, beginning with the history behind the miracle, and the story of her divine apparition that transformed the Americas and helped further the spread of Catholicism.
