Pentagon busy creating reality for the masses in USA.

Have we won the ground war in Afghanistan? According to the government reports and the media, we sure have. However, this is not what one whistleblower has said, warning as early as 2012 that the American people are being deceived by the government.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Lt. Col. Daniel Davis sounded the alarm in 2012, detailing in several interviews how the U.S. government is deceiving the American people. Most Americans have no idea they are being manipulated, nor do they appreciate the lengths the government is going to make war on the truth here at home.

In 2013, a year after David blew his whistle, the government scrambled to cover itself by amending a domestic anti-propaganda law. The Smith-Mundt Act of 1948 and the Foreign Relations Authorization Act of 1987 ban the use of propaganda on the American people by the government. However, a pair of still-sitting politicians, Mac Thornberry (R-TX) and Adam Smith (D-WA) concluded this was too bad. Together, the representatives filed an amendment in the National Defense Authorization Act for 2013 that would neutralize those prohibitions. For reference, see H.R. 5736, Amendment 114. Text follows:

Sec. 501. (a) The Secretary and the Broadcasting Board of Governors are authorized to use funds appropriated or otherwise made available for public diplomacy information programs to provide for the preparation, dissemination, and use of information intended for foreign audiences abroad about the United States, its people, and its policies, through press, publications, radio, motion pictures, the Internet, and other information media, including social media, and through information centers, instructors, and other direct or indirect means of communication.

(b)(1) Except as provided in paragraph (2), the Secretary and the Broadcasting Board of Governors may, upon request and reimbursement of the reasonable costs incurred in fulfilling such a request, make available, in the United States, motion pictures, films, video, audio, and other materials prepared for dissemination abroad or disseminated abroad.

The representatives, who sneaked the amendment into a the bill, knowing it would barely be read, later justified themselves by saying the propaganda used against terrorists overseas was simply "too good" not to be used at home.

After passage, government manufactured propaganda became legal within the U.S.

Of course, once propaganda is permitted to combat domestic terrorism, it can also be deployed for any other conceivable purpose.

The law allows the government to use any means to influence public opinion. Even television and social media are valid avenues of approach. According to one pentagon officials who remains unnamed, "It removes the protection for Americans...It removes oversight from the people who want to put out this information. There are no checks and balances. No one knows if the information is accurate, partially accurate, or entirely false."

The Pentagon enjoys a budget of over $4 billion dollars for propaganda warfare. There's no way of knowing how much of that budget is spent on Americans, because there is no oversight.

It is known they use social media, in addition to other means, to influence people. For example, the Pentagon uses "sock puppets," another name for fake profiles, to influence people on social media. They also monitor Twitter traffic.

With most people getting their news from social media today, it is easy for the government to engineer the perception of reality in the minds of people. With the push of a button, the government can get people hyped up about things like terrorism, or transgender bathroom laws. And while we are paying attention to those scandals, Congress can quietly fleece the country. All for our own good, of course.

This is why many Americans believe we won in Afghanistan, despite the fact that the Taliban still runs the rural areas, the military is still active, and our soldiers are still dying.

Given our government's track record of lying and deception, it is understandably hard to believe anything you see and hear in the media and online. Of course, the real question is why so many people STILL believe what they read all the time anyway.

Perhaps they didn't get the memo that it's now okay for the government to lie and they have $4 billion of your tax dollars with which to push those lies.

Goodbye, Truth.
