This Friday's Gospel reading we have the classic reading of the Church around Cephas, Peter, and the rock upon which Christ built His Church. We also, though, find the readings for the week bringing us full circle in our Lenten journey. On Sunday we found Christ calling to right order, to an Acknowledgement of God as first in our lives. Later in the week we had Christ giving us the tale of the Ninevites and calling us on to Repentance. Then we had Christ following His chastisement instructing us to Seek the Lord in prayer. To seek mercy and grace. Today we see in the readings how God reveals Himself to those who Acknowledge, Repent, and Seek. Today, Christ comes to those who surrender themselves to His Sacred Heart.
