SERENA, IL (September 13, 2010) - Our Sorrowful Mother's Ministry in Vandalia, IL will host its annual conference "My Immaculate Heart Will Be Your Refuge" October 29-31. This promises to be exciting as we welcome back our ministry Chaplain Msgr. Swetland as emcee. Msgr. is a dynamic speaker on many topics. You may recognize him from EWTN's series "Catholicism on Campus". He is currently the director of homiletics and pre-theology, and the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Endowed Chair for Christian Ethics at Mt. St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD.

The Sacred Scripture scholar, Fr. Bill Halbing is a gifted healing priest. His talks are riddled with humor, making his presentations both enlightening and enjoyable. Fr. Bill is a priest from a charismatic, spirit-filled parish in Newark, NJ, and has been involved in the Charismatic Movement for many years.

Rebecca Kiessling will speak of her experiences as a pro-life and pro-adoption advocate. Conceived in rape and the survivor of two abortion attempts, Rebecca will speak of the sanctity of life for all ages. Her book “Conceived in Rape: From Worthless To Priceless” will be available for purchase.

Randy Albright's "Musical Presentation of Mary" will allow you to come to know Mary as you may never have known her. This performance was part of the Divine Mercy Sunday broadcast from Stockbridge, Massachusetts on EWTN in 2009 and has been performed at a past World Youth Day.

The Apostles of the Interior Life are a group of consecrated women who posses a charism for spiritual direction and are gifted speakers in the fields of evangelization and helping souls achieve sanctity. There will be opportunities for individual spiritual direction during the weekend with members of this group. Look for the sign-up sheet for this early, as they fill in fast!

Come experience prayer teams, spiritual direction, sacraments, adoration, teaching and more on the beautiful, prayerful and peaceful ministry grounds and in the beautiful chapels of Our Sorrowful Mother’s Ministry. Meals will be available onsite for purchase. See our website for registration, directions and lodging information.
