Gadget giant says they will be unveiling many items at show

It's expected to be Christmas morning where everyone knows what they're going to get beforehand. Gadget and computer giant Apple is having a show in San Francisco tomorrow that will be covering a lot of ground - but no one is expecting any surprises. The ubiquitous Internet has wrecked many surprises with photos snapped clandestinely and then posted throughout the world.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The highlights of the Apple show are presumed to be the jet-engine-shaped U.S.-built Mac Pro desktop computer, a redesigned iPad and an iPad Mini with a high-pixel-density Retina display.

Analysts also predict a refresh of the high-end MacBook Pro with Retina screen and an official release of the latest OS X version, dubbed "Mavericks." While Apple assures the tech-obsessed world that it has "a lot to cover" at this event, will there be anything - unexpected?

Probably not, as it's not like Apple CEO Tim Cook to tantalize a watch or TV set that won't be out for six months. If he did, how would he generate excitement?

Most agree that the thinner iPad, a 9.7-in. version of the current iPad Mini will be noteworthy. The new version will likely come with a powerful processor similar to the iPhone 5S's. The smaller iPad is even more important as it's a bigger seller.

Apple does need to address the flaws of the first iPad Mini. While the original Mini was technically adroit, it failed in the screen-quality department. The original $329 Mini had a low-resolution screen with very visible pixels. Since the full-sized tablet costs $100 more than its Retina-screened 7-inch rivals, it's agreed that the second generation must have a Retina screen and cost the same.

An Apple Insider has suggested that the original Mini iPad will stay on store shelves at a lower price. A cheaper price in addition to the iPad Mini's elegant build quality and better battery life, would help consumers forget the inferior screen.

In addition, the MacBook Pro with Retina screen is due for a refresh and hopefully a price reduction. The big Mac announcement will be the Mac Pro, which was sneaked at WWDC in June with the promise of a launch "later this year."

All this talk about Macs likely means the arrival of Mavericks, the newest OS X software. Highlights of Mavericks include a new Safari browser, iCloud secure key chain, tabbed windows, increased iOS crossover (especially with Apple services such as Maps and iBooks), and better monitor support, which will allow users to wirelessly use TVs as second screens.
