The ISIS reign of terror continues

Several boys and men of Syria are being crucified by the Jihadist group ISIS in electricity poles in Deir-ez-Zor, a province in eastern Syria. Those who broke the strict rules of the group during the Ramadan period are still left hanging on several electricity posts across the province as told by eye witnesses to the Syrian ARA News.

Highlights

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - The ARA News links to a video in an earlier report that shows footage of men crucified alive after breaking the Ramadan fast. The video, set in the town of Hajin - a city at the eastern part of Deir ez-Zor in Syria, featured boys and men who nailed on electrical posts, without even legitimate reasons related to breaking the Ramadan fast.

The video published by activists featured men slowly driving in their cars on the main road where several men and boys were tied to electric poles near the street. Their arms were stretched out and affixed to a crosspiece. Almost nine men were caught on the footage, some even had signs hanging around their necks.

The extremist group is known for their strict rules and ruthless punishments. Their recruits range from trained and well-disciplined Chechen fighters to suicide bombers who have even barely come of age.

Syrian activist, Saray ad-Din explained that since the beginning of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, the militant group ISIS has already crucified dozen of civilians on charges of deliberately breaking the fast. There are claims that the allegations were not all true, however, the victims were still punished severely.

The Ramadan fast extends from June 17 to July 17.

Besides crucifying men, ISIS also placed some violators in public cages displaying them publicly in the streets, while being mocked by the militants. ISIS implemented strict religious regulations in the area, even prior to the celebration of Ramadan.

Last month, the group crucified and killed two children in Mayadin for breaking the Ramadan fast, as well. The boys had cards hanging around their necks with the quote, "Not fasting in Ramadan."
