Con la participación de varios centenares de fieles, el Obispo Auxiliar de La Plata, Mons. Nicolás Baisi, presidió una Misa de desagravio por la profanación de la imagen de la Virgen María, en el santuario de Schoenstatt, ubicado en la calle Papa Francisco (53) y 15.

BUENOS AIRES (ACI) - En la noche del viernes 22 de noviembre, día de la memoria de santa Cecilia, virgen y mártir, el Prelado dijo que "como los Macabeos, tras la profanación griega del templo de Jersualén, venimos para purificar el Templo y pedimos al Señor que tenga piedad por los que atacaron a su Madre y les dé la gracia de la conversión. Pedimos también por nosotros mismos, para que podamos purificarnos una y otra vez con una vida santa".

A continuación, comentando el Evangelio del día, en el pasaje donde Jesús echa del Templo a los mercaderes, el Obispo advirtió que "el látigo de Jesús es, también, una gran advertencia. Siempre podemos correr el mismo riesgo de profanar, con nuestras acciones, el Templo. Debemos, por lo tanto, ser vigilantes y darle al Señor el verdadero culto".

Mons. Baisi advirtió sobre la persecución a la Iglesia: "nos duele el corazón -enfatizó- comprobar cómo se atacó a la Madre de Jesús, Madre nuestra y Madre de la Iglesia. Vivimos en un mundo en el que la Iglesia es perseguida: hay persecución mediática, en las leyes, en las escuelas. Nosotros, en la Argentina, vivimos todavía en una supuesta libertad religiosa. El católico sabe, de cualquier modo, que siendo fiel a Cristo siempre sufrirá cruces".

Antes de la bendición final, el Arzobispo de La Plata, Mons. Héctor Aguer, manifestó que esto "debe darnos una serena confianza en el Señor. La reparación pasa por la entrega de nuestra vida a Dios, cada uno en el lugar propio. Que esto nos ayude a acercarnos más a María".

El prelado pidió, igualmente, el pronto esclarecimiento del vandálico acto. Según trascendió, los autores habrían sido identificados por cámaras de seguridad instaladas en la zona.

El Arzobispado de La Plata ha reclamado, sistemáticamente, a las autoridades provinciales y municipales por las pintas ofensivas que hacen desconocidos en la Catedral, en el Santuario de Schoenstatt, y en la propia curia arzobispal, entre otros sitios. Han solicitado además más iluminación y seguridad, de modo particular en las horas de las celebraciones litúrgicas.
