MUNTINLUPA CITY, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - U.S. President Barrack Obama's trip to Kenya is scheduled on the 24th of July, but a full itinerary of his trip remains confidential to the public. Kenya is the homeland of Obama's father.
"From what I hear, he is coming now as the president of the United States," Malik said. "He should have at least informed us as his family." Malik still hopes to be informed by Obama prior to his arrival in Kenya.
Malik shared a few intimate details about his brother's visit in Kogelo in western Kenya, two decades ago, 1988, back when he was just Barrack Obama, Barrack Hussein Obama Sr.'s son and not the president of the United States of America.
The first trip was a fulfilled promise from Malik to their father. The young Barrack met his step-mother Sarah Obama, as well as other relatives during the trip. The step-brothers bonded together and shared illicit alcohol, chang'aa, in the bush, while playing games together.
Malik took the role as Barrack Obama's best man during his wedding and shared intentions to meet his nieces and spend time with the U.S. President once again.
"I would like for us to just sit down and have a vanilla ice cream or a strawberry fruit cake, just to have a nice dinner, nice steak, Caesar salad, sit down and enjoy each other," Malik stated. "I really don't know my nieces, Malia and Sasha and they don't know my children either."
Obama will be visiting Nairobi, Kenya, situated 193 miles away from Kogelo. His itinerary remains a secret, but Kenya's president has denied that Obama will be visiting his father's hometown.
Obama's visit in Kenya will focus on the global entrepreneurship summit. Efforts and plans in bringing together entrepreneurs and investors around the globe to promote several economic opportunities will be discussed during the summit.
