SERENA, IL (April 25, 2011) - Fr. Mark Baron, MIC returns as our Retreat Master during the weekend of May 13-15 in Vandalia, IL. Special devotions to the Holy Spirit and The Virgin Mary will fill this weekend. It is always great to have Fr. Mark with us. He is currently House Superior and Novice Master for the Marians of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.

Randy Albright will perform "A Musical Celebration of Mary" on SATURDAY NIGHT ONLY. Randy was a successful writer for country music talents such as Diamond Rio and Alabama before his move from composing "country songs" for popular country singers, to composing songs for our Catholic Faith.

During this retreat, OSMM will be hosting the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe that has been traveling since 1991. It is an exact 4-foot-by-6-foot replica of the sacred garment whose owner, St. Juan Diego, was visited by Our Lady. The original garment or tilma is located and displayed at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. The traveling image is coordinated through the Apostolates of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Jesus King of All Nations Devotion. Many graces and blessings have been associated with veneration of this beautiful six foot tall image.

We will also remember Blessed Imelda, the patroness of fervent First Communions on her feast day, May 13. To receive Our Lord in Holy Communion became the consuming desire of her young heart.

Come experience prayer teams, spiritual direction, sacraments, adoration, teaching and more on the beautiful, prayerful and peaceful ministry grounds and in the beautiful chapels of Our Sorrowful Mother's Ministry. Meals will be available onsite for purchase. See our website for registration, directions and lodging information.
