Worship Minister Brings Fresh New Music Inspired by Catholic Faith

COLUMBIA, TN (February 19, 2010) - Modern Rock/Worship music minister-Michael James Mette, is pleased to announce the release of ALWAYS WHAT I NEED, fresh new music inspired by the artist's Catholic faith. The songs found on this CD address the prevalent issues and questions that teenagers are faced with today. Through his life experience as a music minister, and working with teens and young adults, Michael James Mette continues to hear a common theme in these questions, "What is this life for?"

The fundamental choice between doubt and faith is addressed in original songs (penned by Mette) like "Know Love Serve" and "This is Our Lamb", while "Always What I Need" and "Prepare Me" point to a reliance on God's providence. With an energy and style that cuts through the apathy of a "Guitar Hero" generation, Michael's timeless message finds a comfortable niche for the youth of the Church. Other songs covered on the album include new twists on classic praise and worship songs like "Open the Eyes of My Heart", and "Lord I Lift your Name". There is also a driving, power praise & worship version of "Where the Streets Have No Name" made popular by mainstream artist-U2, and a terrific (original) sing-a-long sure to be embraced by youth groups everywhere titled "I've Got the Joy".

ALWAYS WHAT I NEED (produced by award winner David C Smith of Icon Studios) is a collection of 10 songs sure to inspire a new generation of leaders in the church and will clearly become an effective resource tool for youth ministers.

ALWAYS WHAT I NEED will be available through Catholic Music Network, CD Baby and other Catholic/Christian and mainstream distribution outlets in addition to the artist's website. About Michael James Mette:
Michael James Mette has had extensive opportunities to challenge teens to embrace their faith. His experience varies from starting a comprehensive youth ministry from scratch in a rural community, to growing a vibrant ministry in a wealthy suburb, to working as a full-time youth music minister for an inner city youth group. Through practical experience, and a college degree in Theology, Michael is able to provide the teens with a solid faith foundation but present it to them in a way that was relevant to the current youth culture. Michael was an NCYC 2009 participant, and also travels the country promoting his youth workshop titled, "This is Your Faith. Know it-Love it-Serve it!"
