Jacob and Matthew Band rock Catholic youth with new CD "Every Day."

FRANKLIN PARK, IL (November 17, 2009) - Not your father's Catholic music, but he will certainly wish it was! Jacob and Matthew Band are rocking youth and adults with their own lively brand of music for praise and worship. Just released by World Library Publications (www.wlpmusic.com ) is their new CD "Every Day."

This five-piece southern California band includes singer-songwriters Jacob Villalobos on guitar, Matthew Leon on lead vocals, and Michael Paul Leon on electric guitar, along with Michael Debellis on bass, and Lonn Hayes on drums. All five share a passion for music and a determination to bring their cutting edge style to praise and worship settings, as well as offer an inspiring alternative to modern rock. They insist, "You can praise God and rock out!" With a strong foundation in the Gospel message of love, the music and lyrics inspire self-reflection with easy and inviting melodies. The listener cannot help but join in and "praise along."

Following their last recording titled "Universal" Jacob and Matthew continue to follow their call as not only youth ministers in the Church but musical evangelists, teaching people about God's unconditional, unfailing, and everlasting love. Their humble message says, "Even though we may not find ourselves worthy on many levels, we find that we all are worthy, not by our own power, but by the power of God's love for his children." This message came to them as youth while growing up in southern California. Coming from different walks of life, they started playing as a band as teenagers, and continued to grow in their ministry as men of faith. Presently, they are married with young children, and continue as music directors and youth ministers in their local parishes.

"Every Day" is rich with powerful songs that give glory to God and are inspired by the band's personal journeys and struggles. Songs like 'I Will Follow' and 'Surrender' speak of abandoning selfishness, and stubbornness, and allowing grace to set in. Their conviction is: "This is what moves people towards being saints in the making, as followers of Christ." Upbeat songs like 'All Around' and 'Give Glory' along with title track 'Every Day' remind all of the joy of God's creation and joy in the gift of life. Jacob and Matthew hope that this offering truly inspires the young and young at heart towards a change of heart, and an awakening of faith.
