WATERTOWN, MA (October 29, 2009) - Finally, busy Catholics have hope for learning about their faith in less time than it takes to cook a Pop-Tart. CatholicTV is now airing short Catholic teachings called “Blinks”. These short Catholic teachings are meant to evangelize in as a little as 120 seconds. “Blinks” feature many different types of Catholics including priests, nuns, lay people, and even Catholic children. Blinks star notable Catholics such as Monsignor Jim Lisante, Fr. Robert Barron, & Fr. Leo Patalinghug. Blinks include mini-clips produced by young Catholics, pro-life messages by Virtue Media, Catholic songs by Angelina Davis, and even cooking tips from Fr. Leo Patalinghug.
Below are a few of the “Blinks” which air throughout the day at CatholicTV.com and on CatholicTV.
CatholicTV is a nationally-broadcasted television network headquartered near Boston. CatholicTV streams its broadcast simultaneously, 24 hours a day at www.CatholicTV.com
Jump Start With Jane- author/speaker, Jane Trufant Harvey begins the day with minute-long reflections on the faith right before Daily Mass on CatholicTV.
Princess and the Priest- A lay woman, Dr. Christine Whelan and Fr. Eric Andrews debate about what marriage and weddings are all about.
Fr. Robert Barron’s Reflections- Fr. Robert Barron who is currently working on an estimated $10 million project called the Catholicism Project, talks about the Catholic faith in easy-to-understand language. He also answers common questions such as “Why should I go to Mass?”
That Catholic Show- brief clips that address basics of the Catholic faith such as Catechism, confession, statues and icons etc. Catholic Exchange calls it: “Hip, smart, and full of tasty spiritual goodness. Some of the best evangelism happening on the web!”
