Work Ministry: A Ministry to Help the Unemployed, Under-employed and those seeking a Career Change.

SUMMERVILLE, SC (September 30, 2009) - Work Ministry® deals with and helps to solve the issues of unemployment, regardless of age or skill level. Sound interesting? Stay tuned and we'll give you a brief highlight of what this group has been up to.
First and foremost, Work Ministry® is a Faith-Based Organization that is dedicated to assisting churches in setting up job support groups at the church or local community level. In addition, Work Ministry® has partnered with Adicio to create a website for job seekers to post resumes and for employers to communicate employment opportunities. This is done without charge to the churches or job candidates. Work Ministry® is funded by employer contributions from job postings. The Career Cast connection also provides job links to over 150 other job boards throughout the United States! Talk about a network!

For those church organizations that have an active job support group, Work Ministry® can provide support to the leadership in terms of additional topics for reference at meetings and a webpage to showcase their job support activities. For those who need to start a job-support group, Work Ministry® has a complete training package and information that is available right off the website, www.workministry.com .

As new job support groups are introduced to the Work Ministry® process, members of the Work Ministry start-up team will be available for new leaders to contact for assistance. In planning the services of Work Ministry®, it became quite apparent that the best of intentions can still fail unless a good model is provided. Work Ministry® provides a model of "Best Practices" for leaders to use right away! No big learning curve and lots of examples of success. This model will continue to grow and improve with live input from ministry leaders and candidate suggestions.

Work Ministry® continues to expand into all areas of the United States as we move into 2010. Look for them in a church near you soon! Leaders and candidates do not have to wait, however, for the use of the Work Ministry®process. By simply logging on to the website and registering, ministries and candidates can use the system either to start a ministry or post their resume and search for a new employment opportunity.

Please keep in mind our challenge to anyone using the system: bring an employed friend with you to post their resume on a confidential basis. Why? Employers like to choose from a large selection of potential candidates, currently employed and unemployed. One group would not be in competition with the other, since the right candidate is right no matter what the circumstances. And, something else to keep in mind: it is estimated that upwards of 80% of the employed people are not satisfied with their current employment situation. When they move on, new job opportunities are created. Work Ministry® was established to help everyone: unemployed, under-employed and those seeking a career change.
