'The Liturgy: The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly' on 'Catholic Radio 2.0!'

Liturgists and authors join Commander Craig on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 5 p.m. Eastern

BROOKLYN, NY (April 14, 2008) - One of the most contentious topics in Catholic circles is how to approach the Church's most central celebration, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass; the liturgy goes to the heart of what Catholics believe. On Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 5 p.m. Eastern, "Catholic Radio 2.0!" examines what has gone wrong -- and right -- with the Mass since the Second Vatican Council, looks ahead to the future of the liturgy, and brings together two liturgy experts with differing visions to plan the music for the Sixth Sunday of Easter.

Host Commander Craig will welcome Fr. Joseph Fessio, S.J., editor-in-chief of Ignatius Press and theologian-in-residence at Ave Maria University; Todd Flowerday, parish liturgist at St. Thomas More's Church in Kansas City, Missouri and author of the blog "Catholic Sensibility"; and Jeffrey Tucker, managing editor of the magazine Sacred Music. Fr. Fessio will comment on liturgical developments since Vatican II. Messrs. Flowerday and Tucker have a homework assignment: plan the music for the Mass of the Sixth Sunday of Easter according to the Mass of 1970. They must explain and defend their choices.

For those who cannot listen to the broadcast live, an archive file of the broadcast will be available at www.blogtalkradio.com/CommanderCraig immediately following the show. Listeners can also subscribe to the archives via the RSS feed located on the host page.
