Paoli, PA (August 1, 2014) - Matt Maher and Audrey Assad will headline a Catholic music festival, Abbey Faith & Music Fest, on September 20, 2014 at Daylesford Abbey, 220 S. Valley Road, Paoli, PA 19301. 1,500 plus faithful from around the country are expected to descend on the Abbey for music, food, speakers, Confession, Mass and Eucharistic Adoration.

"People of all ages and faiths are welcome at the Abbey Faith & Music Fest," said Mark Griswold, Director of Abbey Faith & Music Fest . "Anyone who enjoys inspiring, Christ-centered music and wants to experience God's presence will have a truly unique, faith-filled experience at this event."

In addition to Maher and Assad, Greg & Lizzy, Kara Klein and Paging Samuel, will play. Nationally known Catholic speaker, Bill Donaghy, will deliver a talk on “Beauty: Ever Ancient, Ever New.” A Catholic Mass will be celebrated by Norbertine Abbot Richard Antonucci and there will also be opportunities for Confession and Eucharistic Adoration.

“The power of music has an undeniable ability to move the soul of the listener,” added Abbot Richard. “Music that glorifies God and stirs the soul is an instrument to bring people to the Lord and to build unity.”

Hosted by the Norbertine Community of Daylesford Abbey, Abbey Faith and Music Fest is a response to the repeated call of the Catholic Church for a “New Evangelization.” This festival will be a day for Catholics to celebrate the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith, and experience the power of up-lifting, Christ-centered music and inspiring prayer to unite festival attendees more closely with God and one another.

The festival is from 10 AM to 8:30 PM. Tickets are available at www.theabbeyfest.com.
