The CatholicTV Network to Air "If Only We Had Listened"

WATERTOWN, MA (February 7, 2014) The CatholicTV Network will air "If Only We Had Listened", a documentary on Immaculee Ilibagiza's story on surviving the Rwandan genocide.

Immaculee's life was transformed dramatically during the 1994 Rwandan genocide where she and seven other women spent 91 days huddled silently together in the cramped bathroom of a local pastor's house. Her faith, inspired by the heavenly messages of Kibeho, kept her alive.

The Vatican-approved messages of Kibeho began on November 28, 1981, when the Virgin Mary began appearing in the tiny village to local teens. "If Only We Had Listened" tells the story of the apparitions and the prophecies which sadly came true when the Rwandan people suffered a horrible genocide during which a million people were killed.

Join Immaculee as she returns to Rwanda with filmmaker Sean Bloomfield, uncovering the secrets of Kibeho and reconciling with her painful past. Buried beneath the bones of a million victims, a story of hope and love emerges, and Immaculee reveals that the message of Kibeho is not just for Rwanda, but for the entire world.

"Making this film and spending time with Immaculee in Rwanda changed my life forever", said filmmaker Sean Bloomfield. "The prophecies of Kibeho were amazingly accurate, and, despite the unimaginable suffering endured by Immaculee and her people, the messages Our Lady entrusted to the visionaries now serve a new purpose in Rwanda. They are leading people to forgiveness, and teaching them how to love. God's mercy is rising out of a terrible tragedy."

"If Only We Had Listened" will air on the CatholicTV Network on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 8:30AM ET, and on Wednesday, February 12 at 8:30PM.
