The CatholicTV Network Presents “Chiara Luce”

WATERTOWN, MA (July 9, 2013) – The CatholicTV Network will air “Chiara Luce’, a documentary that shows the story of an Italian teenager who died at the age of 18 after battling bone cancer.
“Chiara Luce” tells the story of Blessed Chiara Badano from her childhood to her beatification in 2010. It features interviews with her parents, friends, doctors, and the family of the young man who was miraculously healed through her intercession. “Chiara Luce” was filmed on location in Italy. Blessed Chiara Luce Badano is one of the Intercessors of World Youth Day 2013. World Youth Day (WYD) is a worldwide encounter with the Pope which is typically celebrated every few years in a different country. This year WYD is in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. WYD is open to all young people and is an opportunity to experience in first person the universality of the Church; to share with the whole world the hope of many young people who want to commit themselves to Christ and others.
