New York, NY (May 21, 2013) - Educational publisher William H. Sadlier, Inc. (Sadlier), headlines the annual Canadian Catholic Schools Trustees Association Convention (CCSTA) June 6-8, 2013 in Winnipeg, MB. The keynote on June 7 by Sadlier President William Sadlier Dinger marks the first time a U.S. publisher will speak at the convention. Sadlier, one of the largest Catholic publishers and the oldest family-owned and operated Catholic publisher in the U.S., has been producing catechetical materials since 1832.

Robert Praznik, Director of Education for the Archdiocese of Winnipeg Catholic Schools and CCSTA Convention organizer, "We are honored to have Mr. Dinger speak at our conference. This is the first time a U.S. publisher is speaking at our convention because we have been using a Canadian religion program for the past thirty years."

"I very much look forward to sharing my history in the ongoing evolution of catechesis, from The Baltimore Catechism that I used as a child, to today, as we answer the call of the Synod on New Evangelization," stated Sadlier President William Sadlier Dinger. Mr. Dinger will speak on "Religious Education: The Continuing Evolution."

Dinger, the great great grandson of William H. Sadlier, will celebrate his golden anniversary in publishing at Sadlier this year. His dedication to the Catholic Church and the religious education enterprise are well known. Among his many awards include the induction with his brother Frank into the Association of Educational Publishers Hall of Fame in 2008, the National Catholic Education Association President's Award in 2009, and the Emmaus Award from the National Association of Parish Catechetical Directors in 2013. On June 8, Saundra Kennedy, Ed.D, consultant for Sadlier, will give a keynote on "The Ministry and Vocation of the Catholic School Teacher." Dr. Kennedy is an Associate with the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, Wisconsin, and is presently serving on the Executive Board of Directors for the North American Conference of Associates and Religious.
