Seminar on Evolution and the culture of death
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DUBLIN, IRELAND (August 29, 2012) - This November 2012 promises to be quite a busy month for practicing Catholics in Ireland in terms of seminar courses and politics. Catholics have the popular Meant for More Men’s conference at the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley 24th November , as well as a series of seminar courses in mid-November given by Hugh Owen of the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation, entitled Evolution and the Culture of Death.
Venues are being firmed up, and these seminar workshops will be a series of conferences with a difference. First off all, it’s Catholic, & it challenges mainstream Catholic views who assume evolution is fact. Such a seminar topic is badly needed as there are not many courses available in Catholic circles questioning the certainty of evolution. Additionally, the current leadership within the Catholic Church in Ireland is in need of a further boost on the foot of the International Eucharistic Congress held in Dublin’s RDS this summer just gone and Hugh Owen can provide just that.
Short seminar courses on evolution anomalies
Hugh Owen brings with him German national Thomas Seiler, who has impressive scientific credentials and works in the field of scientific research in Germany. Together with Daylight Origins Society (who are hosting these seminar conferences), these workshops will have a good chance of succeeding were in the past seminar debates have failed. This time we have a large body of active Catholics willing to promote these evolution based conferences that in effect are miniature training courses to rouse unsuspecting Catholics to see that evolution really is having a negative impact on the Catholic faith and needs to be addressed before they themselves fall victim to lapsing from practicing Catholicism.
Hugh Owen is a former protestant, and now has the same zeal for orthodox Catholic culture that former protestant and now esteemed Catholic lecture of Steubenville, Scott Hahn has. It’s in stark contrast to Hugh Owen’s father the late Sir David Owen who lost his faith as a result of evolutionary indoctrination while in university. David Owen eventually became the first UN secretary general of ‘International Planned Parenthood Federation’. This makes Hugh Owen’s seminar trip to Ireland all the more poignant as the current Irish political government coalition of Fine Gael & Labour are pushing for the introduction of abortion legislation on Ireland despite Fine Gael’s pre-election pro-life promises.
Creation seminar debates on the rise
Creation Ministries are an international young earth creation protestant evangelical body, who plan to give creation seminar conferences in East Cork & Cork city, Kilorglin in Co. Kerry and Dundalk in Co. Louth, with a view to cementing their growing influence on Irish culture. With this in mind, the island of Ireland will have had quite an extensive series of seminars on evolution anomalies in the year 2012 alone. Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis ministries has already done a seminar tour across Northern Ireland in mid-summer.
Creation Ministries are as mentioned, heading mainly down southern Ireland and the Catholic Daylight Origins Society are pitching for Dublin city and Co. Kildare. There can be no questioning the growing force underlying those who question Darwin’s theory of evolution, as well as long ages. Evolution and long ages are very often interpretational based data, and often lack serious objectivity, and creationists as well as traditional Catholics are really waking up to this scenario thanks to comprehensive seminar conferences over the space of 3 hours, which is all it really takes to switch the lights on for someone who never thought evolution through before. We pray to St. Philomena to help Hugh Own & Thomas Seiler to successfully deliver their seminar debates and to give Irish Catholic clergy, good coaching skills to defend our Roman Catholic faith.
