Goodness Reigns Focuses on YOUCAT & World Youth Day 2013 Next

LOUISVILLE, KY (July 24, 2012) - Young adult filmmakers took top honors in the People�s Choice voting component of the GOODNESS REIGNS Mini Contest entitled �Natural Family Planning: The Better Way.�

Voters chose Leah Chen�s entry, �Natural Family Planning Explained,� as their winning video. �True Love and NFP,� submitted by Seth Kiser and Theresa Krupka, is the runner-up. Honorable mentions went to Mary Ashley Burton for �NFP Flash Mob,� Myra Spiller for �Taking the Power Back,� and Christina Dirkes for �The Whole Story.� To view all submissions, visit www.GoodnessReigns.com/vote/.

Chen swept the mini contest; she also took top honors when a panel of judges reviewed and ranked the video submissions.

Top finishers receive prizes that include gift cards to B&H Photo ranging from $100 to $350.

Submissions have begun for the GOODNESS REIGNS 2013 International �Share the Story� Film Contest, which will focus on the YOUCAT. Prizes will include all-expense paid trips to World Youth Day 2013 in Brazil, as well as significant cash prizes for the contest�s High School and Young Adult group categories, as well as categories for individual filmmakers. GOODNESS REIGNS orchestrated a similar international video contest that brought together many young amateur filmmakers from the United States, India and Mexico for World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid, Spain. There, they presented their videos to other WYD pilgrims and developed lasting friendships and future contacts for collaboration.

Aspiring filmmakers and those new to the media are encouraged to visit the online Goodness Reigns Film School found at www.GoodnessReigns.com. Here, they will find helpful how-to videos on such topics as equipment, composition, lighting and editing their finished project.
