All-Catholic/Christian contemporary group has lead single on international World Youth Day 2000 CD

The all-Catholic/Christian contemporary group Gabriel's Harp has recorded the lead single on the official international World Youth Day CD, called [one]. "Heart of Every Man," will be released June 2, 2000 to Christian radio stations throughout the United States and to select European markets. Gabriel's Harp is based in Cleveland. The album,[one], is a partnership between the Vatican and Nashville-based Word Entertainment. A portion of the proceeds from [one] will be used to send youth from Third World countries to Rome for World Youth Day. Gabriel's Harp is the first all-Catholic/Christian contemporary group to be signed to the Myrrh Records label for the [one] project. Gabriel's Harp, cutting-edge recording artists who are also music and worship leaders at their churches, brings to the Catholic community and especially to youth, quality, meaningful music that helps draw them closer to Jesus. Gabriel's Harp includes international recording artists Richard Josef - who is French - and Rebecca Harper and Christopher Michael - who are from the Cleveland area. Gabriel's Harp recorded two songs for the [one] project, the lead single, "Heart of Every Man," and "Emmanuel," the official international version of the World Youth Day 2000 theme song. Gabriel's Harp wrote the English lyrics for "Emmanuel." [one] represents an unprecedented pairing of Catholic and Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) efforts to produce a Jubilee Year CD with music that inspires, energizes and elevates the human spirit bringing us closer to Jesus. Besides Gabriel's Harp, other artists on [one] include, A Ragamuffin Band, Sixpence None the Richer, Jaci Velasquez, Aaron Neville and Rachael Lampa, Burlap to Cashmere, Cindy Morgan with Luis Fonsi, Maire Brennan, Salvador and Winans Phase 2. In May Gabriel's Harp joined Michael W. Smith at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for the Young Church 2000 Jubilee Rally. June concerts, where Gabriel's Harp will play with A Ragamuffin Band, include a stop in Joliet, IL., as well as a concert outside Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, and one in Strasbourg. In August the two groups will be part of World Youth Day concerts and liturgies in Rome.
