Charlotte, NC (December 5, 2011) -- To mark its official debut Catholic Courses has launched a "First Course Free" promotion, providing visitors to a free audio course download of their choice without cost or obligation of any kind.

The newest imprint from Saint Benedict Press, Catholic Courses takes an innovative approach to capturing and delivering the riches of the Catholic intellectual tradition through enhanced audio and video lectures from leading experts in their field.

"Catholic Courses satisfies your craving for truth with compelling lectures from the world's great professors, exploring fascinating topics in History, Literature, Theology, and more," said Conor Gallagher, Executive Producer, Catholic Courses. "I'm so convinced you'll love these courses that I'll give you the first one for free."

Each course is comprised of eight lectures recorded in high-definition audio and video. All courses are enhanced by exciting, informative visual aids and accompanied by a course guidebook. Courses are available in four formats -- DVD, CD, video or audio download.

Offerings in the Catholic Courses Fall catalog include The Hidden Meaning of the Lord of the Rings and Shakespeare's Catholicism by Professor Joseph Pearce; The Four Last Things by Professor Regis Martin; Saints with a Past by Professor Tom Craughwell; and Seven Myths about the Catholic Church & Science by Professor Benjamin Wiker.

Gallagher expects to give away over $100,000 worth of free courses during the promotion. "Catholic Courses' mission is to help others Learn More," said Gallagher, referring to the imprint's tagline. "If you are ready to satisfy your craving for truth, go to and download your free audio course today!"
