MUNTINLUPA CITY, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - After a mass shooting in a Louisiana movie theater, while Amy's movie "Trainwreck" was airing, Amy expressed her plight against mass shootings and gun policies. Two women were killed and nine were injured during the shootout during her movie. Amy is now actively participating with advocates to promote tighter gun policies.

Senator Schumer vowed, with his three-part plan and cousin, to help keep criminals and the mentally ill from obtaining guns.

A teary-eyed Amy shared details about the victims of the shooting during the unveiling,"These shootings have got to stop. I don't know how else to say it."

Senator Schumer's legislation will create monetary rewards for all the US states who submit all the necessary records of their background checking systems to get details on individuals who are gun owners and individuals who shouldn't have guns in their possession in the first place. States not participating in the legislation will be penalized. He further calls for Congress to continue providing funds for mental health and substance abuse programs and anti-gun advocates.

"Enough is enough," Amy said, condemning shootings and wanting to put an end to all mass shootings happening in schools, college campuses, military bases and movie theaters. "These are not extreme ideas. No one wants to live in a country where a felon, the mentally ill or other dangerous people can get their hands on a gun with such ease."

The Louisiana theater victims were identified as Jillian Johnson, a 33-year old gift shop owner and Mayci Breaux, 21, a student of the Louisiana State University. The gunman was identified as John Russel Houser, 59. He later committed suicide after being cornered by the police. Police are still investigating all possible circumstances that lead to the shooting.
