LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Barricades were broken, Mexican flags were waved and protesters continued to interrupt the businessman as he attempted to speak to supporters during his Albuquerque rally.
USA Today reported at least one arrest and the necessity of medical treatment for several officers during the riot.
Despite Trump's initial tweet reading, "Great rally in New Mexico, amazing crowd!" his speech was repeatedly interrupted by protesters, who were forcibly removed from the rally.
According to ABC News, Trump had plenty to say about the protesters.
"This is so exciting, isn't it?" Trump asked as one protester was escorted out. "Still wearing diapers, look at this guy! I'm telling you the kid looks like he's 10 years old."
On Wednesday morning, Trump again took to Twitter concerning the Albuquerque rally, this time stating: "The protesters in New Mexico were thugs who were flying the Mexican flag. The rally inside was big and beautiful, but outside, criminals!"
During his speech, Trump mentioned his wall idea and swore to keep Syrian refugees out of New Mexico.
Trump also called Hillary Clinton a "low life" for her campaign web video in which Trump was quoted in 2006 saying, "I sort of hope" the real estate market crashes so he could "make a lot of money."
Trump added: "I'm a businessman -- that's what I'm supposed to do. That's what I'm supposed to do. I mean, I'm a businessman, so when the housing market goes down -- I like it if it goes down."
Despite the expected riot, Trump continues down the rally path and pays his protesters little mind.
